Duo sign for Dinamo

Croatian champions NK Dinamo Zagreb have unveiled two new faces before their UEFA Champions League campaign.

New arrivals
The 29-year-old striker Mladen Bartolovic has been signed from HNK Cibalia while Bosnia-Herzegovina Under-21 captain Albin Pelak has also arrived on a two-year contract. The latter could be a replacement for Ivica Olic, who has been tipped to leave the club.

Aiming high
Bartolovic, who has agreed a three-year contract, said: "There were no good offers from abroad, and when I spoke to Dinamo we arranged everything very quickly. I believe I can be a part of the first team and I'll try to prove that."

Japanese spell
The 22-year-old Pelak, who scored 24 goals in 96 games for FK Sarajevo, had moved to Japan in January to play for Cerezo Osaka. However, the midfield player has returned to Europe with the aim of adding to his two full caps for Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Maribor hurdle
Dinamo will take on Slovenian title-holders NK Maribor in the Champions League second qualifying round. The first leg will be played away on 30 July, with the return match following a week later.
