AC Milan will be without Pato for at least four weeks after the Brazilian international striker strained a muscle in his right thigh during Wednesday's 1-1 Serie A draw with Udinese Calcio.

Pato, who scored the fifth fastest goal in UEFA Champions League history in the Rossoneri's 2-2 matchday one draw at FC Barcelona last week, will miss the Group H home games against FC Viktoria Plzeň next Wednesday and FC BATE Borisov on 19 October.

The 22-year-old was forced off after 19 minutes of the visit of Udinese and his replacement Stephan El Shaarawy scored Milan's equalising goal. Muscle injuries have limited Pato to 23 and 25 top-flight appearances respectively in the last two campaigns.
