Run ended
The Tunisian full-back was ever-present in last season's Champions League and has played all three of Ajax's Group H matches this term. That run will come to an end when Ronald Koeman's side visit Vigo on Matchday 4 after the club confirmed that Trabelsi "will miss a minimum of six weeks".
Ajax on top
Trabelsi was substituted in the 64th minute of last night's game, a fixture in which Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the only goal to take Ajax to the top of their section above Club Brugge KV, who surprisingly beat AC Milan 1-0 in Italy.
PSV next
Ajax also lead the Eredivise, with Trabelsi having featured in six of their eight matches so far, scoring once. His absence will be felt when Ajax travel to tackle the champions PSV Eindhoven on Sunday. The home game against Feyenoord on 30 November could also come too soon, and if his recovery takes longer than expected Trabelsi could even be missing until after the winter break, which begins on 21 December.
