Kily counted out

Kily González will miss Valencia CF's next two UEFA Champions League games with a knee injury.

Training injury
The Argentinian international midfield player suffered cartilage and ligament damage to his left knee in training last week but tests today revealed that the problem was not serious enough to require surgery.

Medical prognosis
A statement on the club's official website said: "Team doctor Jordi Candel has set the player's comeback date somewhere between two and three weeks' time."

Missing from action
González will miss Valencia's Group B ties against FC Spartak Moskva on Wednesday and FC Basel on 2 October as well as league games against Rayo Vallecano and RC Celta de Vigo.
