Three-and-a-half year deal
The Czech international, who has signed a three-and-a-half year deal after completing a medical, said: "I had a couple of offers from 1. Bundesliga clubs [in Germany] but after they noted my age they ended their interest. I would like to thank Sparta for allowing the deal with Austria [Wien] because I know that it was not an easy decision in the middle of the Champions League."
Reigning champions
Reigning Czech champions Sparta are currently two points clear in their domestic league and face Real Madrid CF, Panathinaikos FC, and FC Porto in the second group stage of the Champions League. Hašek made six appearances in this year's competition.
