Article body
We collect certain personal data to give you the most personalised experience possible across our apps and website. One way we do this is through the use of “Software Development Kits”, otherwise known as “SDKs”. The purpose of this short article is to help you understand what SDKs are, how we use them and what data we collect as a result of using each one. For more info on how we handle your data, you can also read our Privacy Policy.
What is an SDK?
Put simply, an SDK is a section of code that has been written by a third party (i.e. not UEFA). It can be added to any app (or website) to give it a new feature or capability. At UEFA, we only use SDKs that come from trusted sources and we only ever use an SDK to improve your experience.
Which SDKs do UEFA use and why?:
Below is a full list of all the SDKs that we currently use. We’ve provided a brief description of why we use each one, and what data we collect as a result of using them.
- Firebase
We use this to send you relevant push notifications as well as for analytics and tracking. This SDK is provided by Google. It gathers data such as your device and network. It also uses tokens to send push notifications. - SAP CDC
We use SAP CDC to ensure a smooth login and sign up process. We only collect data through this SDK if you expressly choose to provide it to us. We would collect your email address, date of birth (to check age suitability for certain games) and your country of residence. This SDK also includes the Facebook and Google SDKs that allow you to login using these social platforms. - Crashlytics (Fabric)
We use this to gather insights when the app crashes. These insights help us prevent the app from crashing in the future. Again, this SDK is provided by Google. The main data it collects is device and network info and crash logs. - Sentry
This is also used to gather insights when the app crashes. The main data gathered by this SDK is device info and crash logs. - Google Mobile Ads SDK
We use this to serve ads that are more relevant to you. It’s also provided by Google. The main data gathered by this SDK is device info and network info. - Blueconic
We use Blueconic to better understand our audience which helps us deliver a more personalised experience. By using this SDK, we collect data related to app preferences, screen views, spectator status, login status and app permissions. - Adjust
We use Adjust to optimise our UEFA app promotion campaigns on Google, Facebook and other social platforms. For this analysis, Adjust uses mobile identifiers like the IDFA, Google Play Services ID and other information to measure the number of app downloads. All data captured via this SDK is anonymised and it is not possible to identify you or your mobile device individually.

We’re committed to maintaining complete transparency when it comes to your personal data. For more info on how we handle your data, you can also read our Privacy Policy.
