The Scout squad sticks with a lot of the players who proved wise selections in the quarter-final first legs, although there is still room for several new faces.
Goalkeepers
It's as you were on the goalkeeping front, with the two players who were selected for the quarter-final first legs. Chelsea's Edouard Mendy (€5.3m) was the only one of the eight goalkeepers in action last week to keep a clean sheet, earning him seven Fantasy points; with the London club holding a 2-0 first-leg advantage, the Senegalese international is impossible to overlook. Ederson (€6.0m) may have conceded for the first time in seven UEFA Champions League games but has still picked up 41 Fantasy points in this season's competition, behind only Mendy, ahead of the trip to Germany.
Defenders
It's rare to have a back line made up of players from only two clubs, outside of the final, but the defensive excellence of Chelsea and Manchester City means that is the case in the Scout's squad for the second legs. Four of the players who featured in the first-leg selection are again involved, with Kurt Zouma (€5.0m) – who scored his fifth Premier League goal of the season on Saturday, more than any other defender – joining Chelsea team-mates Antonio Rüdiger (€4.7m) and César Azpilicueta (€5.2m). City are against represented by João Cancelo (€6.1m) and John Stones (€5.1m), although Kyle Walker and in particular Rúben Dias remain tempting alternative options.
Midfielders
The midfield also has a similar look to the first leg, with three players retaining their places. Kevin De Bruyne (€11.3m) and Mason Mount (€6.9m) both justified their selections with goals last week, picking up eight Fantasy points apiece. İlkay Gündoğan (€6.7m) did not find the net himself but provided an assist to collect six Fantasy points, and he is also involved again. The consistent form of Luka Modrić (€7.8m), who has earned five points or more in each of his last five UEFA Champions League appearances including seven in the first leg against Liverpool, means he comes in, as does Sérgio Oliveira (€6.9m). Porto's top scorer this season in all competitions was suspended for the first-leg defeat by Chelsea, but having picked up 45 Fantasy points this season – his five goals yielding 25 of those – he is a budget-friendly option and his side's most likely source of a way back into the tie.
Forwards
The status quo is maintained up front, with the three first-leg selections all retained. Kylian Mbappé (€11.1m) could hardly be dropped after scoring twice in Paris's thrilling win at Bayern, whose first goal came from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (€6.6m). The Cameroonian striker swapped Paris for Munich last summer but returns to the French capital as a deputy for the injured Robert Lewandowski with both a point to prove and in a Bayern side that needs to score at least twice. Erling Haaland (€11.2m) drew a blank for the first time in this season's UEFA Champions League at Manchester City, but still provided an assist and it would be a brave Fantasy manager who bets against the Norwegian being among the goals again back in Dortmund.
