Sevilla's UEFA Champions League prospects are hanging by a thread as they take on PSV Eindhoven three points adrift at the bottom of Group B.
The Spanish side have picked up only two points in this season's competition – one in the Netherlands on Matchday 2, when they conceded an added-time equaliser to draw 2-2 – and are three points behind both PSV and Lens.
PSV's total of five points was boosted by their first Group B victory last time out, 1-0 at home to Lens, as the Dutch club attempt to stay in touch with Arsenal, who have nine points.

It was an eventful ending in Eindhoven on Matchday 2, when Nemanja Gudelj gave visitors Sevilla a 68th-minute lead. Their former striker Luuk de Jong levelled from the spot with four minutes left but parity lasted less than 60 seconds as Youssef En-Nesyri restored the Sevilla advantage only for Jordan Teze to snatch a point for PSV five minutes into added time.
The sides' only other meetings came in February of this year.
Sevilla ended PSV's involvement in European competition in 2022/23 with a 3-2 aggregate win in the Europa League knockout play-offs, a team coached by Jorge Sampaoli doing the damage in the home first leg with a 3-0 victory thanks to a devastating burst of goals through En-Nesyri (45+2), Lucas Ocampos (50) and Gudelj (55).
Ruud van Nistelrooy's PSV staged a late revival in Eindhoven thanks to goals from De Jong (77) and Fábio Silva (90+5) but were unable to find a third and lost Mauro Júnior to a red card after the final whistle.

Home record vs Dutch clubs: W2 D0 L1
Last season's home defeat of PSV made it successive victories against Dutch visitors for Sevilla, the other a 2-0 victory against Feyenoord in the group stage of their victorious 2014/15 Europa League campaign.
Sevilla's only other game against Dutch opponents came in the 2006/07 UEFA Cup group stage, when they were beaten 2-1 at home by AZ Alkmaar, conceding the decisive goal in the 93rd minute.
Sevilla have therefore played against Eredivisie opponents in three seasons – and gone on to win the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League in all of them.
This is Sevilla's ninth appearance in the Champions League group stage, and a fourth in succession. The Spanish club have reached the round of 16 or better on five occasions, although their last two campaigns have ended in the group stage.
Sevilla won a record-extending seventh UEFA Cup/Europa League in 2022/23, beating Roma 4-1 on penalties in the final at Budapest's Puskás Aréna following a 1-1 draw after extra time. The Andalusians had finished third in Champions League Group G on five points and moved into the Europa League knockout round play-offs. There they beat PSV before further victories against Fenerbahçe (2-0 h, 0-1 a), Manchester United (2-2 a, 3-0 h) and Juventus (1-1 a, 2-1 h aet).
Sevilla have won four more UEFA Cup/Europa Leagues than any other side – three-time champions Inter, Liverpool, Juventus and Atlético are their closest rivals.
Jesús Navas was named the 2022/23 Europa League Player of the Season.
Sevilla's best European Cup performances came in 1957/58 and 2017/18 when they reached the quarter-finals, losing to Real Madrid and Bayern München respectively.
The Andalusian club are without a win in 15 away European games (D8 L7), since a 3-1 success at Rennes on Matchday 6 of the 2020/21 Champions League.
Sevilla were beaten 2-0 at Arsenal last time out having drawn 2-2 in Eindhoven on Matchday 2; at home they drew 1-1 with Lens before losing 2-1 to Arsenal.
The Andalusian club have managed only four victories in their last 15 home Champions League matches (D4 L7).
Sevilla had, however, won five successive home European games, scoring 13 goals and conceding only one, before being held by Lens on Matchday 1 and then losing to Arsenal.
José Luis Mendilibar's side lost 5-4 on penalties to Manchester City after a 1-1 draw in the UEFA Super Cup in Piraeus on 16 August. It was Sevilla's sixth Super Cup defeat, a competition record.
Sevilla finished 12th in La Liga last season and were knocked out of the Copa del Rey at the quarter-final stage. It was their lowest Liga finish since 1999/2000, when they were relegated in bottom place.
The Andalusian club parted company with Europa League-winning coach Mendilibar on 8 October, appointing former Uruguay coach Diego Alonso as his replacement two days later.

Away record vs Spanish clubs: W1 D5 L11
PSV have considerable experience against Spanish opposition in UEFA competition, but last season's second-leg win against Sevilla was just their sixth victory. Only one of those victories has been in Spain – a 1-0 win at Granada on Matchday 6 of the 2020/21 Europa League. They have lost 3-0 on each of their last two visits, a 3-0 defeat at Real Sociedad in 2021/22 ending their Europa League interest at the group stage.
The most recent of PSV's 16 Champions League group campaigns came in 2018/19, when they finished fourth in their section having collected only two points.
The Eindhoven club have lost three times in qualifying since then, including play-off defeats at the hands of Benfica in 2021/22 (1-2 a, 0-0 h) and Rangers last season (2-2 a, 0-1 h).
PSV were second behind Arsenal in Europa League Group A in 2022/23 having transferred across from the Champions League, winning four of their six games, before eventual champions Sevilla ended their run in the knockout round play-offs despite a second-leg fightback (0-3 a, 2-0 h).
Second in the Eredivisie for the third season in a row in 2022/23, finishing runners-up to Feyenoord after two campaigns behind Ajax, PSV kicked off this European campaign in the Champions League third qualifying round, sweeping past Sturm Graz (4-1 h, 3-1 a) with De Jong scoring three goals in the tie.
Beaten by Rangers in the 2022/23 play-offs, PSV turned the tables at the same stage this season, another 2-2 away draw in the first leg preceding a 5-1 home second-leg success in Eindhoven.
De Jong's second-leg header against Rangers made him the first player in PSV's history to score in five consecutive European matches. Willy van der Kuijlen, Ralf Edström, Gerrie Deijkers, Romário and Balázs Dzsudzsák had all scored in four European games in a row.
PSV kicked off the group stage with a 4-0 loss at Arsenal; after drawing with Sevilla, they picked up four points from their two games against Lens (1-1 a, 1-0 h).
That Matchday 4 victory against Lens ended PSV's 15-game run without a win in the Champions League group stage, home and away, since a 2-1 defeat of CSKA Moskva on Matchday 6 in 2015/16; their record between those two results was D5 L9.
The Matchday 1 loss at Arsenal was one of only three in PSV's last 13 European away games, winning four.
However, the Dutch club are without a win in their last 15 away matches in the Champions League proper (D5 L10), since a 1-0 victory at CSKA on 27 November 2007.
