TUESDAY 12 DECEMBER

Bruno Fernandes (€9.5m) vs Bayern (H)

Although Manchester United are bottom of Group A and have it all to do if they are to qualify for the round of 16, they have actually scored more goals (12) than any of their group rivals. Fernandes has been heavily involved and comes into Matchday 6 having recorded two goals and an assist in the last two matchdays. The Portuguese international also registered an assist at Bayern on Matchday 1, and with the German giants guaranteed to finish top of the group regardless of the result, represents a tempting captaincy choice.

Victor Osimhen (€9.9m) vs Braga (H)

Napoli are another side not yet assured of a place in the last 16, so should field a strong team on Matchday 6 at home to Braga, who are capable of leapfrogging the Italian side. Osimhen is naturally part of Walter Mazzarri's first-choice XI, and although the Nigerian striker has had an injury-interrupted season, he could yet play a key role in helping Napoli advance. Osimhen made an assist and won the Player of the Match award in a 2-1 win at Braga on Matchday 1, and given the fact he is owned by just 5% of Fantasy managers, also holds differential appeal.

Highlights: Paris 2-0 Dortmund

WEDNESDAY 13 DECEMBER

Kylian Mbappé (€11.5m) vs Dortmund (A)

Group F has been highly competitive and is set up perfectly for Matchday 6. Dortmund may already have qualified, but Paris would finish top with victory in Germany and are certainly capable having already beaten the Bundesliga side in September. Mbappé was on target then and Fantasy managers looking to pick a man for the big occasion to captain their sides on Matchday 6 could do a lot worse than the French superstar. At the time of writing, Mbappé has scored 24 goals for club and country this season, and will be a hugely popular asset as the group stage comes to a close.

Galeno (€6.8m) vs Shakhtar Donetsk (H)

Those looking for an under-the-radar captaincy pick on Matchday 6 may want to consider Porto winger Galeno, who faces a Shakhtar Donetsk side that will remember him all too well from their Matchday 1 meeting. The Brazilian was involved in all three goals in Porto's 3-1 victory in Hamburg and that, together with his Player of the Match bonus, earned him a huge 19 Fantasy points. Anything similar this time round would make him a devastating captaincy choice.
