Highlights: Benfica 4-0 Atleti

NICOLÁS OTAMENDI (€5.0m) – BENFICA

Benfica are unbeaten in eight games in all competitions as they prepare to welcome Feyenoord to Lisbon, where the Eagles have won all five games this season and conceded just twice. Otamendi is therefore a tempting option for Fantasy defences; as well as helping his side keep clean sheets, the centre-back has delivered a goal and two assists in his last five club games, while he also scored for Argentina over the international break. Having made 13 ball recoveries in his two Champions League appearances, Otamendi can gain points from a number of possible routes.

DANIEL BRAGANÇA (€4.5M) – SPORTING CP

Fantasy managers are always on the lookout for a bargain midfielder with an attacking threat, and Bragança firmly fits into that category. Although he did not start either of Sporting CP's first two Champions League fixtures he came off the bench to make telling contributions in both, providing an assist against LOSC Lille on Matchday 1 before scoring a late equaliser at PSV Eindhoven. The 25-year-old has also scored in his last two Portuguese Liga games, making it three goals in his last three appearances in all competitions.

CHRISTIAN PULIŠIĆ (€7.5m) – MILAN

It has been a superb start to 2024/25 for Pulišić, who has been providing an attacking spark for both Milan and the United States. In his last eight club games the 26-year-old has six goals and two assists, including his Matchday 1 strike against Liverpool, while he also has a goal and assist in his last two international appearances. Overall he has struck six times in his last eight matches for club and country ahead of Matchday 3, when Milan welcome Club Brugge to San Siro.

Watch Lewandowski's brilliant opener

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI (€9.5m) – BARCELONA

Lewandowski, third on the list of all-time Champions League goalscorers, is rarely out of form, but the Barcelona forward has been particularly prolific of late. His last five club games have yielded eight goals, including a hat-trick against Alavés which followed a Matchday 2 double against Young Boys. On Matchday 3 Barcelona take on Lewandowski's former employers Bayern München, where he registered 344 goals, although Fantasy managers will need to monitor the knock he picked up on international duty with Poland.

MATEO RETEGUI (€5.5m) – ATALANTA

Having had his penalty saved against Arsenal on Matchday 1 and gaining just one Fantasy point over his two league phase games so far, many Fantasy managers will overlook Retegui for their Matchday 3 squads. However, the Atalanta forward is displaying the kind of form that could make him an excellent differential asset going forward. The joint-top scorer in Serie A this season on seven goals, Retegui hit a hat-trick against former club Genoa in his last league outing and was also on target in both of Italy's recent UEFA Nations League fixtures.
