Club Brugge and Juventus will look to continue their upturn in fortunes in the UEFA Champions League as they meet in Belgium on Matchday 7.
The Belgian champions have ten points, one behind their Italian visitors, with both unbeaten in their last three games. Club Brugge were 2-1 victors at home to Sporting CP, the champions of Portugal, on Matchday 6, when Juventus overcame English title holders Manchester City 2-0 in Turin.

Roberto Bettega scored the only goal in Turin, Fons Bastijns levelling three minutes into the Bruges return. The tie went into extra time and, five minutes after Juve had had Claudio Gentile sent off, René Vandereycken struck a 116th-minute winner.

The Bianconeri managed one win in their first five games against Belgian clubs (D2 L2) but have been victorious in each of the last seven.
Both of Juve's defeats by Belgian sides have come away from home – at Club Brugge in 1978 and Anderlecht in the 1981/82 European Cup second round first leg (1-3), a tie they lost 2-4 on aggregate.

Four of the Bianconeri's six matches since Matchday 6 have ended all square, the other exception a 2-1 win at Monza on 22 December that was their 1,700th Serie A victory.
Khéphren Thuram scored his first Juventus goals in a 2-2 draw at home to Fiorentina on 29 December, getting both 22 years after his father Lilian registered his only goal for the club.
