PSV Eindhoven have a one-goal deficit to overturn as they welcome Juventus for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off tie.
Juve claimed a 2-1 victory in the Turin first leg on 11 February thanks to goals from Weston McKennie (34) and, after Ivan Perišić's 56th-minute equaliser, substitute Samuel Mbangula (82).
The Italian side were also 3-1 winners at home to the Dutch champions on Matchday 1 and went on to finish 20th in the inaugural league phase on 12 points – two points and six places behind PSV.

The Matchday 1 fixture in Turin was the teams' first-ever meeting.
Goals from Kenan Yıldız (21), McKennie (27) and Nicolás González (52) put Juventus in control before PSV substitute Ismael Saibari scored an added-time consolation.

Before losing to Juventus this season PSV had last faced Italian opponents in the 2018/19 group stage, losing 2-1 at home to Inter Milan before a 1-1 away draw.
The Eindhoven club are without a win in their last six games against Serie A sides (D2 L4) and have a single victory – 3-0 against Napoli in the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League group stage – in their last six fixtures in Eindhoven (D2 L3).
This is PSV's first two-legged knockout tie against Italian opponents since a 1-4 aggregate defeat by Milan in the 2013/14 Champions League qualifying play-offs (1-1 h, 0-3 a). That made their aggregate record against Serie A clubs W2 L4, with defeats in the last three.

The Eindhoven club returned to the group stage last season for the first time since 2018/19, finishing second behind Arsenal in Group B to earn a first knockout appearance since 2015/16 only to lose out to eventual finalists Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 (1-1 h, 0-2 a).
PSV have lost all three knockout ties since beating Arsenal 2-1 on aggregate in the 2006/07 round of 16.
This season PSV have defeated Girona (4-0), Shakhtar Donetsk and Liverpool (both 3-2) in Eindhoven to make it four wins in 15 Champions League home matches (D7 L4), all in their last seven games.
PSV are unbeaten in eight home Champions League games, Matchday 1 to final (W4 D4), since a 1-2 loss against Barcelona on Matchday 5 in 2018/19.

The Matchday 1 win against PSV was Juve's first game against a Dutch club since the 2018/19 Champions League quarter-finals, when a 1-2 second-leg defeat at home to Ajax confirmed a 2-3 aggregate loss.
That ended Juve's seven-match unbeaten run against Eredivisie clubs (W4 D3), since a 2-0 loss at Feyenoord in the 1997/98 group stage – the Italian side's only defeat in their last seven games in Netherlands (W3 D3).
The 2019 defeat by Ajax made Juve's record in two-legged ties against Dutch clubs W4 L2.
Juventus are making their 24th appearance in the Champions League proper – an Italian record, three more than AC Milan – and their first since 2022/23.
That campaign was the first time Juve had missed out on the round of 16 since 2013/14 as they finished behind Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain in their section, subsequently losing to eventual champions Sevilla in the Europa League semi-finals.
Juve had lost three successive away Champions League matches, conceding eight goals, before a 3-2 Matchday 2 victory at Leipzig this season – their only win in nine (D4 L4).
The Bianconeri have lost their last three Champions League knockout ties.
Champions of Europe in 1985 and 1996, Juve have also lost seven European Cup finals including five in the Champions League era – more than any other club.

PSV have won four of their last eight games in all competitions (D3 L1), Isaac Babadi's 92nd-minute strike rescuing a 2-2 draw at home to Utrecht on Saturday.
The Dutch champions won their first ten Eredivisie games this season and 14 of the first 15 (L1) but have managed only two victories in the subsequent eight.
This is the first time since 1980 PSV have started a calendar year with one win from their first six league games (D4 L1).
A 3-1 loss at Zwolle on 18 January is one of two in PSV's last eight Eredivisie matches – as many as in the previous 65 (W55 D8).
Rick Karsdorp has missed the last two matches.
Ricardo Pepi is unlikely to play again this season after surgery on a knee injury suffered against Liverpool.

On Sunday a late Francisco Conceição goal earned Juve a 1-0 home victory against Inter in the Derby d'Italia – the first time the Bianconeri had won three successive Serie A games since January 2024.
Randal Kolo Muani scored twice in a 2-1 success at Como on 7 February and now has five goals in five games since joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. He was the first player to score in his first three games for Juve, and the first to score five in his first three Serie A appearances, since Italy switched to three points for a win in 1994/95.
Juve suffered their only Serie A defeat of the season on 25 January, going down 2-1 at leaders Napoli despite a debut goal from Kolo Muani giving them the lead.
The Bianconeri have drawn 13 of their 25 league matches this season and have let slip 17 points from winning positions.
Juve managed 21 league draws in 2024, fewer only than Perugia's Italian record of 22 in 1979.
Douglas Luiz missed the defeat of Inter having suffered a thigh injury in the first leg against PSV.
Andrea Cambiaso came on on Sunday having been out since suffering an ankle injury at Napoli while Pierre Kalulu has not played since being replaced early in the first half on Matchday 8 due to a thigh problem.
Arkadiusz Milik is yet to play this season after suffering a knee injury with Poland in June.
Juan Cabal and Bremer are not expected to play again this season due to knee ligament injuries.
