The Scout's squad for the UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off second legs is dominated by players who performed in last week's opening matches, with Ousmane Dembélé, Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane and Serhou Guirassy among the goalscorers to be involved again on #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation.
Goalkeepers
Feyenoord and Benfica were the two sides in action on Tuesday to keep clean sheets in the first legs – although with a trip to Milan to come, Timon Wellenreuther may struggle to record a second shut-out for the Dutch side. Anatoliy Trubin is a stronger contender for Benfica's home game against Monaco, but with the French side having scored seven at the weekend, Manuel Neuer (€5.9m) is selected for Bayern München's home second leg against Celtic.
Borussia Dortmund look to be best placed to progress on Wednesday, although their 3-0 first-leg win at Sporting CP was their only clean sheet in 15 matches. Instead, Gianluigi Donnarumma (€5.8m) is selected with Paris Saint-Germain also 3-0 up on Brest in their all-Ligue 1 tie.
Defenders
Given those first-leg performances, Paris and Bayern – and indeed Benfica and Dortmund – are all represented among the five defenders. The sole exception is Federico Gatti (€4.5m), named Player of the Match on his way to 11 points as Juventus earned a 2-1 first-leg advantage against PSV Eindhoven, making it 40 Fantasy points in his last five appearances.
Gatti's first-leg total was matched by Dayot Upamecano (€5.0m) in Bayern's win at Celtic thanks to an assist, 11 balls recovered and the Player of the Match award, while a clean sheet and 14 balls recovered helped Nicolás Otamendi (€5.0m) to ten points as Benfica won at Monaco. Achraf Hakimi (€5.5m) scored nine for Paris at Brest thanks to a clean sheet and an assist, the defence completed by Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck (€5.0m), who picked up eight points at Sporting CP and has 48 overall, 15 of them via ball recoveries.
Midfielders
Paris provide two more players in midfield, the same selection as in the first leg. Ousmane Dembélé (€8.4m) scored 13 Fantasy points at Brest thanks to two goals; club-mate Vitinha matched that total but Bradley Barcola (€7.0m) is favoured this time round as a potentially more exciting attacking option.
The remaining three midfield selections all scored eight points on Matchday 9, Michael Olise (€6.7m) getting Bayern's first goal at Celtic while Mario Pašalić (€6.0m) was on target for Atalanta at Club Brugge – making it 24 Fantasy points in his last three games. Jude Bellingham (€9.0m) scored a last-gasp winner to give Real Madrid victory at Manchester City, making it three goals, two assists and 36 Fantasy points across his last four appearances.
Forwards
First-leg goalscorers are also in demand up front, with all three forwards having found the net on Matchday 9. Harry Kane (€10.7m) is in almost a third of Fantasy teams after his winner at Celtic and now returns to Munich, the venue for five of his seven Champions League strikes this season.
Kylian Mbappé (€10.9m) is only marginally less popular among Fantasy managers than Kane, scoring Madrid's first goal at Manchester City – making it an attacking return in each of his last four Champions League matches and 11 goals in ten appearances in all competitions. Serhou Guirassy (€8.0m) continued his record of an attacking return in every Champions League game this season as Dortmund won at Sporting CP and will look to add to that tally at home to opponents who have conceded 13 goals in their last five matches in the competition.
