The UEFA Champions League round of 16 brings teams like Arsenal, Barcelona, Inter and Liverpool back into the reckoning and all provide players for the Scout's first-leg squad, which features three representatives from Borussia Dortmund.
Goalkeepers
With clean sheets often a rare commodity in the knockout rounds, finding a goalkeeper capable of providing one can give Fantasy managers the edge. David Raya (€5.6m) is the third-highest scorer in his position on 41 points and has managed five shut-outs ahead of Arsenal's trip to PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday.
The top-scoring goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, has missed Inter's last three games with a thumb injury. His deputy, Josep Martínez (€5.0m), has conceded only one goal in his four appearances in all competitions this season, those three clean sheets – including two in three games since Sommer's injury – earning him selection for Wednesday's first leg at Feyenoord.
Defenders
Inter and Arsenal also provide defenders; Gabriel (€5.5m) has four clean sheets and a goal in this season's Champions League ahead of Arsenal's visit to Eindhoven, while – with Federico Dimarco injured – Denzel Dumfries (€5.5m) is the attacking wing-back selected from Inter.
Nico Schlotterbeck (€5.0m) is the fourth-highest scorer among defenders, picking up eight points in each of the knockout phase play-offs; his Borussia Dortmund side are at home to LOSC Lille on Tuesday. Brandon Mechele (€4.6m) will look to add to his 45 points – 18 of them via ball recoveries – in the opening round of 16 first leg, which pits his Club Brugge side against Aston Villa, and Virgil van Dijk (€6.0m) has 49 points ahead of Liverpool's game at Paris Saint-Germain, all but three of them from his first six appearances.
Midfielders
The only place to start in midfield is with Mohamed Salah (€10.1m), who has scored nine goals in his last nine games in all competitions and is both the top scorer (25) and assist provider (17) in this season's Premier League. His Liverpool side face a first leg at Paris, for whom Vitinha (€7.1m) scored 13 points in both legs of the knockout phase play-off with Brest, scoring in each match and being named Player of the Match.
Pascal Gross (€6.5m) is in form at the right time, scoring a total of 15 points across two games against Sporting CP in the previous round, and providing four assists against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on 22 February. Michael Olise (€6.8m) has five goals in this season's Champions League and faces familiar opponents as Bayern München take on Bayer Leverkusen in an all-Bundesliga tie while the top Fantasy points scorer returns to action, Raphinha (€7.7m) in action with Barcelona going back to Benfica – where he picked up 16 points, scoring twice, on Matchday 7.
Forwards
Serhou Guirassy (€8.2m) now has 76 points, just eight behind Raphinha, despite missing a penalty in the second leg against Sporting CP in the knockout phase play-offs – the first time the Borussia Dortmund striker had failed to deliver an attacking return in a Champions League game this season. Guirassy has five goals in his subsequent two appearances, including four against Union Berlin – three of them set up by Gross.
Robert Lewandowski (€9.6m) has 55 points overall and has reached double figures in four matches – he has 11 goals in 13 matches in all competitions in 2025, and has nine in this season's Champions League, two of them in Barcelona's Matchday 7 win at last-16 opponents Benfica. Kylian Mbappé (€10.9m) now has seven goals in the Champions League thanks to his four against Manchester City in the last round, making it 14 in his last 13 matches for Real Madrid, who have home advantage for the first leg of their round of 16 derby against Atlético de Madrid.
