The Scout's squad for the UEFA Champions League semi-final second legs on #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation, features a number of players who scored heavily in the first games, including Denzel Dumfries, Raphinha and Nuno Mendes, while Ousmane Dembélé and Robert Lewandowski are both included despite injury concerns.
Goalkeepers
With both Barcelona and Inter scoring three times in last week's first leg, a clean sheet for either side may be unlikely at San Siro on Tuesday. Home advantage gives Yann Sommer (€5.5m) the edge over Wojciech Szczęsny, although the Inter No1 needs his team to recapture their defensive solidity from earlier in the season; after eight clean sheets in their first nine Champions League fixtures, the Italian side have conceded in their last four – seven goals in all.
Wednesday's pick also has home advantage. Gianluigi Donnarumma (€5.8m) has 50 Fantasy points overall to Sommer's 58, but 35 of those have come in the knockout rounds at an average of five per match, and the Italian was also the only goalkeeper to manage a clean sheet in the first legs.
Defenders
The defence has a familiar look to it, with Fantasy mainstays Nuno Mendes (€6.0m) and Achraf Hakimi (€5.7m) once again included. A clean sheet at Arsenal last week earned the Paris full-backs eight and five points respectively, taking Hakimi on to 101 for the campaign – two more than his club-mate. William Saliba (€5.5m) is the only Arsenal player to make the squad, the France international offering the potential for Fantasy points at either end of the pitch.
Inter provide the other two defenders, a spectacular display from Denzel Dumfries (€5.5m) in Barcelona featuring two goals – both from set pieces – and an assist making the Dutch wing-back an automatic selection for the return. Alessandro Bastoni (€5.4m) is also selected thanks to 20 points from his five knockout appearances this season.
Midfielders
There are also a number of Fantasy perennials in midfield, although the participation of first-leg goalscorer Ousmane Dembélé (€8.6m) is threatened by the hamstring injury that forced his substitution in the first leg. With the French champions' home game against Arsenal not until Wednesday, Fantasy managers will need to keep an eye on UEFA.com's predicted line-ups before making their decision; Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€7.6m) is another Paris pick having set up Dembélé's goal in London, with Vitinha or Bradley Barcola on standby should Dembélé be unlikely to make it.
There are no such doubts around Tuesday's selections. Two first-leg assists made it 21 goal involvements, and 130 Fantasy points, for Raphinha (€7.9m), while Lamine Yamal (€7.4m) was on target in Barcelona and is the most-selected player on the game, his ownership standing at 57%. Hakan Çalhanoğlu (€7.0m) completes the midfield five having managed 20 Fantasy points in Inter's last four games.
Forwards
The thigh injury that forced Lautaro Martínez's half-time replacement in the first leg at Barcelona presents Fantasy managers with a significant decision ahead of the return in Milan. At present, the Inter captain seems unlikely to be fit although there is the sizeable consolation of the potential return of Robert Lewandowski (€9.7m) after three weeks out – and crucially, Fantasy managers will be able to see the starting line-ups from that second leg before making their final selection decision.
Désiré Doué (€4.9m) is again likely to spearhead the Paris attack against Arsenal and has two goals and two assists at the Parc des Princes in this season's Champions League, scoring against Aston Villa in the home leg of the quarter-final.
