Bodø/Glimt have won their last three matches against Turkish opposition, all involving Beşiktaş – 3-1 at home and 2-1 away in the 2023/24 UEFA Conference League group stage and 2-1 at home in the league phase of last season's UEFA Europa League.

The Norwegian side had failed to record a victory in their first four games with Turkish teams (D1 L3).

Galatasaray

This is Galatasaray's 19th participation in the Champions League proper – more than every other Turkish club combined – but only a second in six seasons. That last campaign, in 2023/24, ended in the group stage – as had Gala's previous four forays into the competition.

The Istanbul club lost 2-4 on aggregate to Young Boys in last season's play-offs, going on to finish 14th in the league phase of the Europa League before being eliminated by AZ Alkmaar in the knockout phase play-offs (1-4 a, 2-2 h).

Bodø/Glimt

This is Bodø/Glimt's fourth Champions League campaign – all since 2021. They have reached the competition proper for the first time, the third Norwegian team to do so after Rosenborg (11 times) and Molde (once) and the first since Rosenborg in 2007/08.

Bodø/Glimt entered this season's Champions League in the play-offs, beating Sturm Graz 6-2 on aggregate (5-0 h, 1-2 a).
