Olympiacos will look for their first UEFA Champions League win of the season at the fourth attempt as PSV Eindhoven come to Greece on Matchday 4.

Last match

The teams' only previous meetings came in the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League round of 32, where Olympiacos were 4-2 winners in Piraeus and progressed despite a 2-1 second-leg loss in Eindhoven.

Olympiacos are unbeaten in their seven home matches against Dutch teams with five wins and two draws, keeping five clean sheets. They drew 0-0 against Twente on Matchday 6 of last season's Europa League in the most recent fixture.

PSV have won ten of their 16 matches against Greek teams (D1 L5), the second-leg defeat of Olympiacos in 2021 making it three wins in the last five (L2).

Olympiacos

This is Olympiacos' 21st appearance in the Champions League proper – but a first since 2020/21. That ended in the group stage, for the fifth successive Champions League campaign.

The Greek side lost to Bodø/Glimt in last season's Europa League round of 16, having finished seventh in the league phase.

PSV Eindhoven

Dutch champions for the 26th time – and second season in succession – in 2024/25, PSV are in the Champions League proper for the 19th time, a national record they share with Ajax.

Peter Bosz's side were 14th in last season's league phase (W4 D2 L2) and beat Juventus in the knockout phase play-offs (1-2 a, 3-1 h aet) – their first victory in a knockout tie since 2006/07 – but were then defeated by Arsenal in the round of 16 (1-7 h, 2-2 a).

Key stats

Olympiacos are unbeaten in eight home European games (W5 D3), drawing 0-0 against Pafos on Matchday 1.

That was the Greek side's fifth clean sheet in seven home matches in Europe.

Olympiacos have won only two of their last 23 Champions League group stage/league phase games, losing 18 including at Arsenal (0-2) and Barcelona (1-6) on Matchdays 2 and 3 respectively, and none of the last eight (D1 L7), since a 1-0 victory at home against Marseille on 21 October 2020.

A 6-2 home win against Napoli on Matchday 3 was the first time PSV had scored six goals in a Champions League game, Matchday 1 to final.

PSV have lost only three of their last 16 Champions League group stage/league phase matches (W7 D6).

The Dutch club have scored 148 goals in the Champions League proper.

Ismael Saibari has found the net in PSV's last two Champions League matches.
