Four potential captains are discussed as managers prepare for Matchday 6 of #UCLfantasy, presented by PlayStation.
TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER
Harry Kane (€10.8m) vs Sporting CP (H)
After their first league phase defeat of the season on Matchday 5, Bayern München aim to bounce back at home to Sporting CP. Scorer of 24 goals in all competitions for the German champions this season, Kane has five goals in the league phase, three of those coming in their previous two home games. Against a Sporting side who have conceded at least once in both of their away matches, the ever-popular Fantasy pick Kane is one of the standout captaincy options on Tuesday.
Lamine Yamal (€9.9m) vs Frankfurt (H)
Another side looking to respond following an away loss, Barcelona have work to do in the Champions League. They next face Eintracht Frankfurt, who are winless in four European games and have also conceded 14 goals in the league phase, so Fantasy bosses will be eyeing up Barcelona attackers ahead of Matchday 6. Yamal has three goals and three assists in his last four La Liga outings and has also recorded three attacking returns in his four Champions League appearances.
Other options: Michael Olise (€8.2m), Randal Kolo Muani (€7.3m), Lautaro Martínez (€9.5m)
WEDNESDAY 10 DECEMBER
Serhou Guirassy (€8.2m) vs Bodø/Glimt (H)
Dortmund's 4-0 home victory against Villarreal on Matchday 5 resulted in an 11-point return for Guirassy – his highest total of the season – to make it four attacking returns for the Guinean international in two league phase home games. Going further back, Guirassy has 12 goals in his nine home Champions League appearances for Dortmund and with Matchday 6 visitors Bodø/Glimt still looking for their first league phase victory, looks a strong Fantasy captain on Wednesday.
Kenan Yıldız (€6.7m) vs Pafos (H)
Despite not starting against Bodø/Glimt on Matchday 5, Yıldız still came away with the Player of the Match award as he inspired Juventus to a 3-2 win in Norway. The Turkish international followed that performance by scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Cagliari in Serie A and is clearly a man in form as Juventus prepare to host Cypriot side Pafos. Yıldız is a budget-friendly midfield option who could play a key role for Fantasy managers on Matchday 6.
Other options: Vitinha (€7.1m), Kylian Mbappé (€10.8m), Erling Haaland (€10.7m)
