UEFA.com discusses five in-form players ahead of Matchday 8 of #UCLfantasy, presented by PlayStation.
Alexander Sørloth (€7.3m) – Atlético de Madrid
Atleti are unbeaten in four Champions League games as they head into their final league phase fixture against Bodø/Glimt and are very much in the hunt for a top-eight finish. Fantasy managers eyeing up Atleti players should take note of Sørloth's form, with the Norwegian striker having scored four goals in his last five starts across all competitions. The 30-year-old scored, provided an assist and won the Player of the Match award against PSV Eindhoven on Matchday 6 and is owned by just 1% of Fantasy bosses.
Kylian Mbappé (€11.0m) – Real Madrid
Mbappé continued his superb scoring rate in this season's Champions League with a double against former club Monaco last time out, taking his tally to 11 goals in just six appearances. Also on target twice against Villarreal in La Liga on Saturday, the Real Madrid forward now has five goals in his last three appearances and 34 for his club in all competitions this season. Madrid face Benfica on Matchday 8 – opponents Mbappé scored against for Paris Saint-Germain in the 2022/23 group stage.
Dominik Szoboszlai (€7.0m) – Liverpool
The Liverpool No8 has either a goal or an assist in six of his seven European appearances this season, seven attacking returns in total, with his 58 Fantasy points the highest among midfielders ahead of the league phase's conclusion. The Hungarian international, who struck against Marseille last week, continued his strong form with another two goal contributions against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, and looks a tempting Fantasy option when Qarabağ visit Anfield.
Raphinha (€9.3m) – Barcelona
Although it was fellow midfielder Fermín López who shone from a Fantasy point of view in Barcelona's victory at Slavia Praha on Matchday 7, Raphinha still has significant points potential. The Brazilian's Liga strike against Real Oviedo on Sunday took him to five goals and two assists in his last five appearances in all competitions and, having topped the Fantasy point-scoring charts last season, it seems only a matter of time before he gets off the mark in 2025/26.
Luis Suárez (€5.0m) – Sporting CP
Featured as an in-form Fantasy option in last week's article, Suárez lived up to his billing by scoring twice in Sporting CP's superb victory over defending champions Paris. The Colombian striker has 12 goals and two assists in his last nine outings after a double in domestic action on Saturday. In the Champions League, Suárez has struck four times this season and represents excellent Fantasy value for money at a price of just €5.0m.
