GOALKEEPERS

Although it was a low-scoring matchday from a Fantasy perspective, goalkeepers profited significantly, two of them winning Player of the Match awards. David Raya (€5.5m) delighted his vast ownership of over 40% with five saves and a clean sheet in Arsenal's 1-0 win at Sporting CP, those ten points representing his highest individual score of the season and his seventh European shut-out.

Also earning the Player of the Match award was Manuel Neuer (€6.0m) after his nine saves helped Bayern München to a 2-1 victory at Real Madrid. No goalkeeper recorded more saves than Neuer, who ended on seven Fantasy points.

Of the four starting goalkeepers on Wednesday, two kept clean sheets as both Juan Musso (€4.5m) and Matvei Safonov (€4.4m) shut out their respective opponents. Musso made seven saves in Atlético de Madrid's 2-0 triumph at Barcelona, enough to give him eight points, while Safonov picked up six after making it successive Champions League clean sheets for Paris Saint-Germain.

DEFENDERS

While double-figure hauls may have been in short supply, plenty of highly-owned defenders delivered respectable Fantasy scores. Nuno Mendes (€6.3m), the second-most popular player remaining with over 50% ownership, scored seven points in Paris' 2-0 win at home to Liverpool.

Team-mate Marquinhos (€5.0m) exceeded that tally with eight points thanks to six ball recoveries. Only one defender scored more Fantasy points than the Paris captain, Atleti full-back Matteo Ruggeri (€4.3m) providing an assist, along with three ball recoveries and a clean sheet, on his way to ten points.

Another popular Fantasy defender to score seven points was Arsenal centre-back Gabriel (€5.7m) although both totals were eclipsed by Nahuel Molina (€4.7m), whose eight ball recoveries for Atleti in Barcelona left him on eight points.

MIDFIELDERS

One of the Champions League's most in-form players, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€8.3m) continued to shine. The Georgian accumulated 11 points after scoring Paris' second goal against Liverpool and now has six attacking returns in his last four Champions League appearances plus a double-figure Fantasy return in each of the last three matchdays.

Paris midfielders enjoyed a profitable Matchday 13, each of the top three scorers in the position playing for the holders. Désiré Doué (€8.1m) registered his fifth goal in Europe this season, enough for nine points, while João Neves (€6.1m) came away with seven thanks to his three ball recoveries and an assist for Kvaratskhelia's goal.

Two Bayern midfielders provided assists in their first-leg triumph at the Santiago Bernabéu. Serge Gnabry (€6.5m) and Michael Olise (€8.3m) each set up goals, although the former being substituted before Real Madrid scored meant that he ended the game with an additional point.

FORWARDS

Six forwards were on the scoresheet across the matchday, including premium Fantasy picks Harry Kane (€10.8m) and Kylian Mbappé (€11.0m). Making his first Champions League start since Matchday 9, Mbappé picked up six points after scoring his 14th goal in this season's competition, but it was Kane who won the night. The England captain was on target from outside the box for a score of seven Fantasy points, making it three goals and 20 points across two knockout appearances.

The in-form Julián Alvarez (€9.3m) once again provided a sizeable Fantasy return for his ownership. The Argentinian made it consecutive ten-point scores and three double-figure returns in succession with a magnificent free-kick against Barcelona, helping him earn the Player of the Match award and finish as the highest-scoring forward.

Alvarez's team-mate Alexander Sørloth (€7.5m) came off the bench to score and acquire five Fantasy points, while Arsenal's Kai Havertz (€7.5m) was also on target as a substitute, the German matching Sørloth's five points with the only goal in Portugal.
