There is a quick turnaround for UEFA Champions League Matchday 3 with Donyell Malen, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé and Luis Suárez all on target in the second set of games; all are possible options for the captaincy on UCL Fantasy, presented by PlayStation.
TUESDAY 20 OCTOBER
Erling Haaland (€11.1m) vs AEK Athens (H)
Haaland's metronomic goalscoring exploits continued on Matchday 2 when he struck twice in Manchester City's loss to holders Paris Saint-Germain, the first goal making him the fastest player to reach 60 in Champions League history. Having also scored twice in City's league phase opener against Porto, the Norwegian is the joint-top scorer in the Champions League this season. Haaland is likely to be the leading captaincy choice on Tuesday, when Enzo Maresca's side are at home to AEK Athens.
Donyell Malen (€6.5m) vs Slovan Bratislava (H)
Although Roma are still looking for their first win of the league phase, they have scored four goals across the first two matchdays with Malen involved in three of them. The Dutch striker, who has eight goals in eight games across all competitions this season, was on target twice in Roma's 3-4 defeat by Real Madrid on Matchday 2 and next faces a Slovan Bratislava side who have conceded nine goals in their first two games. With that in mind, Malen looks a tempting differential captain in Tuesday's fixtures.
Other options: Ousmane Dembélé (€10.1m), Lamine Yamal (€10.1m), Bradley Barcola (€7.0m)
WEDNESDAY 21 OCTOBER
Kylian Mbappé (€11.0m) vs Leipzig (H)
Another striker to have scored on both matchdays, Mbappé was responsible for Real Madrid's first goal in an eventual 4-3 triumph against Roma on Matchday 2, adding to his effort against Inter during the first set of league phase fixtures. On Matchday 3 the France forward faces Leipzig for the first time in Real Madrid colours, although he did record four goal involvements in four appearances against the German side while at Paris Saint-Germain.
Luis Suárez (€7.1m) vs LASK (H)
Sporting CP have maximum points after two fixtures and Suárez has played a key role in that, winning and converting a penalty against Galatasaray on Matchday 1 before scoring in a Player of the Match performance against Lens. The Colombian international's ownership is likely to increase ahead of Matchday 3, when Sporting are at home to a LASK side who conceded six goals at home to Liverpool in the second round of games.
Other options: Harry Kane (€11.0m), Nicolò Tresoldi (€7.0m), Nicolas Jackson (€7.0m)
