UEFA.com looks at five standout players for managers to consider on Matchday 3 of UCL Fantasy, presented by PlayStation.
ANTHONY GORDON (€8.0m) – BARCELONA
For Fantasy those managers looking for either an alternative to Lamine Yamal or an additional Barcelona pick, Gordon ticks a lot of boxes. The England international has scored in his last two club outings, including against Galatasaray on Matchday 2, and also found the net in each of his three UEFA Nations League appearances for England during the last international break. Despite fierce competition in the Barça attack, Gordon is making a strong claim to start at Paris Saint-Germain on Matchday 3.
JACOBO RAMÓN (€4.0m) – COMO
Ramón has been going under the radar in Fantasy circles but there are a number of compelling reasons why the Como defender could prove to be an excellent selection. An assist and nine ball recoveries on Matchday 2 was certainly notable, but the low-priced centre-back has also shown an eye for goal this season, getting on the scoresheet in a Serie A fixture against Parma last month and also scoring in two of his three recent appearances for Spain's Under-21 side.
HARRY KANE (€11.0m) – BAYERN MÜNCHEN
Although he faces an elite Arsenal defence in Bayern's next Champions League encounter, Kane has a career record of 15 goals in 22 appearances against the Gunners, and his recent output is similarly encouraging. The forward has either scored or provided an assist – or both – in all of his last ten starts for club and country, registering 14 goals and five assists, so his Fantasy owners may want to consider sticking with the Bayern striker despite a challenging Matchday 3 fixture.
ABDE EZZALZOULI (€6.5m) – REAL BETIS
Those looking for a differential midfielder could turn towards Real Betis, who have made an excellent start to the league phase. Club captain Isco has registered an attacking return in both of their opening two games, but team-mate Ezzalzouli is also enjoying a fruitful spell and is owned by even fewer Fantasy managers. The Moroccan international's brilliant strike against Porto on Matchday 2 was the third game in a row for club and country in which he had scored, and with Betis at home to Feyenoord next, Ezzalzouli could be worth a look.
NICOLÒ TRESOLDI (€7.0m) – CLUB BRUGGE
The joint-top scorer in the Champions League this season following his hat-trick against Inter, Tresoldi is a form pick. Not only has the Club Brugge striker scored nine goals in 11 club games this season, but he also struck four times for the Germany Under-21 side recently, including another hat-trick. The 22-year-old is on a run of eight goals in his last five appearances, and looks a tempting Fantasy option when Club Brugge host Lens on Matchday 3.
