As the UEFA Champions League prepares for Matchday 3, managers on UCL Fantasy, presented by PlayStation, may be considering playing their Limitless chip. UEFA.com has put together a potential squad that includes Paris Saint-Germain pair Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué, Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal among an all-star line-up.
Goalkeepers
Neither goalkeeper selected has kept a clean sheet in the first two matchdays, but both have home advantage this week as they look for a first shut-out of the season. Alisson Becker (€6.0m) was beaten three times as Liverpool won at LASK on Matchday 2 but kept four clean sheets in six Champions League appearances in 2025/26, the Merseyside club having won 15 of their last 16 games at this stage at Anfield, where Villarreal are this week's visitors.
Like Alisson, Yann Sommer (€4.5m) ended on the winning side on Matchday 2 despite conceding three times, his Club Brugge side prevailing 4-3 at Inter. The Swiss goalkeeper still ended on four points after nine saves and next faces Lens with the Belgian side having twice recorded home wins against French visitors in last season's Champions League.
Defenders
There is also Liverpool representation in the back line, Virgil van Dijk (€6.0m) selected for the visit of Villarreal; the centre-back collected three points at Anfield on Matchday 1 and scored twice in last season's league phase, keeping four clean sheets. Rúben Dias (€5.5m) is the Manchester City pick for a home game against AEK Athens, the Premier League leaders looking to get back on track after losing at home last week; Dias' three starts in last season's league phase brought two clean sheets.
Pau Torres (€4.6m) has 14 Fantasy points from Aston Villa's first two games thanks to a clean sheet and two assists; the UEFA Europa League holders are at home to Viking on Wednesday. Marc Bartra (€4.6m) has 20 points, the Real Betis defender scoring twice ahead of a home game against a Feyenoord side who have lost their last seven away European games. Fenerbahçe's Archie Brown (€4.6m) takes on a Slavia Praha team who have never won away in the Champions League; Brown picked up 11 points in his previous home game, against Roma on Matchday 1.
Midfielders
There are high-profile selections in midfield, where Lamine Yamal (€10.1m) is picked despite Barcelona's tough game at Paris Saint-Germain; the winger is the top Fantasy scorer in all positions on 26 points thanks to one goal and four assists, registering double-digit returns on both of his appearances. On the opposite side at Parc des Princes will be Désiré Doué (€8.5m), who has a goal and an assist for a team who have ten goals after two games.
Rayan Cherki (€7.0m) is likely to return for Manchester City having been rested for Saturday's Premier League win; he has four goals and two assists in six league games in 2026/27. Jude Bellingham (€8.5m) provided his third Liga assist of the season on Sunday; he also has three league goals ahead of Leipzig's visit to Real Madrid, while Emiliano Buendía (€6.1m) could be a key creative presence for Aston Villa, 6-0 home winners on Matchday 2, for the visit of Viking.
Forwards
With Erling Haaland an injury doubt and Harry Kane facing Arsenal's formidable defence – although the Bayern forward has an excellent record against the Gunners – the only top-priced forward selected is Kylian Mbappé (€11.0m), who has scored in his last four Champions League appearances and seven of the last nine. Ousmane Dembélé (€10.1m) is the top-scoring Fantasy forward this season – only Yamal has more than his 25 points – with three goals and three assists, delivering 16 points in his previous home match.
Victor Osimhen, Serhou Guirassy and Marcus Thuram – who has four goals in his last five Serie A outings ahead of Inter's home game against Shakhtar – are all strong options for the third position, the Scout opting for Alexander Isak (€7.5m). The Liverpool forward registered an assist at Anfield on Matchday 1 and scored his fifth Premier League goal of the season on Saturday to make it three successive games for club and country in which he had found the net.
