Personal terms
The 22-year-old agreed to move to Maccabi from Hapoel Petach-Tikva after the two clubs agreed a fee for him during the summer, but the player himself could not settle personal terms.
Improved deal
However, following Haifa's historic qualification for the first group stage of the UEFA Champions League, an improved offer of a three-year deal was signed on Saturday night allowing Zandberg to play against Manchester United FC, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Olympiakos Piraeus FC in Europe's premier club competition.
