Ricardo to stick with Bordeaux

Coach Ricardo Gomes has signed a two-year extension to his contract after leading FC Girondins de Bordeaux to a second-placed Ligue 1 finish in 2005/06.

Extended deal
The Brazilian has extended the deal which was initially set to expire in 30 June 2007 after a tremendous first season at the club last term. "We have had a verbal agreement since May but had no time to put pen to paper until last week," said Ricardo. His side take on PSV Eindhoven in their second UEFA Champions League Group C match tomorrow night after earning a goalless draw against Galatasaray SK on Matchday 1.
