FC København coach Ståle Solbakken had demanded that qualification be decided ahead of the return leg and his wish was all but granted with a resounding win against Montenegrin champions FK Mogren in Copenhagen.

Stunning start
Pace and patience were Solbakken's key words ahead of the contest but the latter was not required as the Danish side surged 3-0 ahead inside 24 minutes through Thomas Kristensen, Mathias Jørgensen and Ailton Almeida. Dame Ndoye scored twice after the restart and fellow substitute Morten Nordstrand completed the rout. The visitors tested Jesper Christiansen in the FCK goal early on but thereafter it was one-way traffic, particularly once Kristensen had benefited from a Cesar Santin cross to make it 1-0.

Substitute cameos
Defender Jørgensen (16) headed in the second from a corner and eight minutes later Almeida made it three by dispatching Martin Vingaard's cross from the left. The pace relented after the resumption but the flow of goals continued following the introduction of the two substitutes on 65 minutes. Ndoye's second touch of the evening was a header from Vingaard's cross for 4-0 and five minutes later he struck again, this time turning in a centre from Zdeněk Pospěch. With eight minutes left, Ndoye turned provider and Nordstrand was the grateful recipient of another telling cross.
