Ferario Spasov has signed a new one-year contract as coach of UEFA Cup contenders PFC CSKA Sofia.

One-year deals
Spasov and his assistants, Mihail Madanski, Angel Chervenkov and Stefan Trifonov, have all been given one-year deals despite only leading the club to a third-placed finish in the Bulgarian top flight last season.

UEFA Cup qualifiers
The coach took over from Alexander Stankov in January 2004. He went on to take CSKA to the final of the Bulgarian Cup where they lost out to PFC Litex Lovech on a penalty shoot-out. CSKA's UEFA Cup campaign will begin in the second qualifying round.
