Malkowski makes Hibs switch

Hibernian FC have signed Polish goalkeeper Zbigniew Malkowski following a successful trial with the Scottish side.

The 27-year-old has been handed a two-season contract after impressing manager Tony Mowbray during friendly matches against Irish clubs Shamrock Rovers FC and Saint Patrick's Athletic FC. "Ziggy provides us with some competition in goal," said Mowbray. Malkowski previously spent five years in Dutch football, making a single first-team appearance for Feyenoord but playing 55 games on loan at SC Excelsior.
