No Austria trip
The 31-year-old suffered a thigh injury in a weekend friendly against AS Nancy-Lorraine and has been ordered to rest for two weeks. The trip to GAK on 15 September will come too soon for the forward, who should be fit for the return a fortnight later.
Captain in casualty
Le Pen is a key player for coach Jacky Duguépéroux, who received a scare today when captain Mickaël Pagis was taken to hospital for tests on a knee problem sustained in the 0-0 draw with FC Girondins de Bordeaux on 27 August. The 32-year-old midfielder has also been told to rest but is expected to be available for next week's first-leg tie.
