'Big blow'
"It's a big blow for us and I am seriously shocked," said Salzburg president Rudi Quehenberger, after learning that the 37-year-old veteran midfield player pulled a thigh muscle in Salzburg's 5-0 win against FC Kärnten at the weekend.
Immediate impact
The 1990 FIFA World Cup winner only joined Salzburg last month after his contract with TSV 1860 München expired. Hässler has already helped Lars Sondergaard's team move off the bottom of the Austrian Bundesliga with a haul of seven points from the last three games.
