Immediate loan
The 20-year-old moves from Australian Soccer League outfit Marconi Stallions. Brosque will probably spend next season at KVC Westerlo, the Belgian club with whom Feyenoord have a partner agreement.
Vital experience
But Brosque is happy to play in the Belgian league for the coming season. "I think it's good," the youngster said. "Your first year away from home is always tough and it's important to play regularly first-team football and I can do that at Westerlo. What's more, in Jan Ceulemans the club also has a coach I can learn a great deal from. But Feyenoord is my goal," he added.
Dream move
The striker had other offers before he decided upon a move to the De Kuip. "I spoke to Brett Emerton last month, but I've heard the most from Brett Holman, who I play with in the Olympic team," Brosque said. "I had other options in Belgium, but when such a big club wants you, you don't hesitate."
