Gaziantepspor return for Johnson

Ghanaian midfield player Samuel Johnson has rejoined Gaziantepspor after being released by Fenerbahçe SK.

One-year deal
The 30-year-old Ghanaian midfield player has signed a one-year deal with the club, who will compete in the UEFA Cup this season, and will link up with his new team-mates at their training camp in Germany on Friday.

'Like a storm'
"We are very pleased to see a player who was successful with us return to the club," Gaziantepspor director of football Asim Atmaz said. "We needed a strong and mobile player like him." Johnson added: "Together with my team-mates, we will blow like a storm this season."

Short stay
Johnson joined Gaziantepspor from RSC Anderlecht during the 1998/99 campaign but stayed just a season before moving on to Fenerbahçe. He subsequently made 104 league appearances for the Istanbul club but was released to free up a place for a foreign player in the squad. Iranian midfield player Ali Riza Vahedi is expected to sign for Fenerbahçe shortly.
