Krahn confirms Duisburg commitment

Defender Annike Krahn, 23, has given FCR 2001 Duisburg a boost two days before the first leg of their UEFA Women's Cup final against Zvezda-2005 in Russia by signing a one-year contract extension for 2009/10.

Defender Annike Krahn has given FCR 2001 Duisburg a boost two days before the first leg of their UEFA Women's Cup final against Russia's Zvezda-2005 by signing a one-year contract extension until 2010.

Positive message
"I'm really happy that I've reached an agreement with Duisburg and I'm confident that we will be challenging for honours next season," said the 23-year-old German international. Her coach Martina Voss added: "We are very happy about the extension, which sends a signal to the rest of the team." Duisburg play the first leg of the final in Kazan on Saturday, with the return taking place at Duisburg's MSV Arena on 22 May.
