Scorer of the winning goal in last season's UEFA Women's Champions League final, VfL Wolfsburg stalwart Martina Müller has signed a contract extension that ties her to the club until summer 2015.

At the end of the current campaign, Müller will have been at Wolfsburg for 11 seasons, making her the longest-serving member of the treble-winning squad. She enjoyed one of her career highlights in May when she converted the spot to earn Wolfsburg victory against Olympique Lyonnais in the London showpiece, and has scored five times in this season's competition to earn a quarter-final against FC Barcelona in March.

"I've always said that I would love to keep wearing the Wolfsburg shirt," she said. "It's great fun to play with this team. The things we've experienced in the last couple of months took my breath away, but I can tell that my time here is not up yet and I feel a huge desire to celebrate further success with this club."

Müller, who retired from international duty in 2012 after winning 101 caps for Germany, has scored 113 goals in 167 Bundesliga appearances for Wolfsburg. Coach Ralf Kellermann is excited to keep working with the former UEFA Women's EURO and FIFA Women's World Cup winner: "Martina is a cornerstone in our team and we don't want to be without her in the future. She is physically fit, always motivated and leads the team by example."
