Holders Lyon will begin their bid for a third straight title against Medyk Konin while Chelsea face Bayern München and Atlético Madrid take on Wolfsburg after the round of 32 draw was made.

UEFA Women's Champions League holders Lyon will begin their bid for a third straight title against Medyk Konin, while Chelsea face Bayern München and Atlético Madrid take on Wolfsburg after the round of 32 draw was made. The draw was conducted by UEFA deputy general secretary Giorgio Marchetti and UEFA women's football advisor Nadine Kessler, who twice lifted this trophy as a Wolfsburg player.

  • Chelsea will hope to break their curse against German sides having gone out to Wolfsburg in both previous entries including last season's round of 32.
  • Stjarnan similarly have fallen to Russian teams in all three previous campaigns while Rossiyanka have won all their six ties at this stage.
  • Debutants in round of 32: Fiorentina, Ajax.
  • Holders Lyon will aim to become the first team to win the title three years in a row and can also become the only five-time champions.
  • Wolfsburg are the only other past champions in contention this season.Fortuna Hjørring and Zvezda-2005 are previous finalists.
  • Last season's runners-up Paris Saint-Germain missed out after finishing third in France behind Montpellier.
