The first-ever edition of UEFA Women's Champions League Fantasy Football, presented by Amazon, is under way. We take a look at who scored the most points in all four positions across Matchdays 1 and 2.
GOALKEEPERS
With two clean sheets in Manchester United's consecutive 1-0 wins against Vålerenga and Atleti, Phallon Tullis-Joyce (€5.5m) is the highest-scoring goalkeeper on 13 points. Arsenal's Daphne van Domselaar (€5.0m) and Wolfsburg's Stina Johannes (€5.0m) share second spot on ten points each having both kept one clean sheet and gained additional points for making multiple saves. Barcelona's Catalina Coll (€6.0m) and Atlético de Madrid's Lola Gallardo (€5.0m) rank next on eight points each, having both also managed one shut-out.
DEFENDERS
Another Manchester United player jointly tops the Fantasy ranking for defenders; captain Maya Le Tissier (€5.6m) recorded 21 points across two matches, which included converting a penalty on Matchday 1. Her score is equalled by Cecilia Salvai (€4.6m), who scored twice for Juventus and gained an additional three points for being Player of the Match in their 2-1 Matchday 1 success against Benfica.
Eight of the 16 points achieved by Barcelona's Ona Batlle (€6.0m) have come from 24 ball recoveries, while Chelsea's Millie Bright (€5.0m) and Manchester United's Anna Sandberg (€5.0m) rank next for defenders, both on 15 points.
MIDFIELDERS
Barcelona have scored 11 goals in their two opening victories, with popular pick Alexia Putellas (€10.1m) and Esmee Brugts (€6.1m) instrumental in both games – both scoring two goals and providing two assists to pick up 23 Fantasy points each. Fiamma (€6.1m) found the net twice and was named Player of the Match in Atleti's 6-0 win at St. Pölten on Matchday 1, contributing to her Fantasy standing of 22 points.
European debutants OH Leuven are unbeaten and recorded their first victory in the competition on Matchday 2 against Twente, when midfielder Sára Pusztai (€5.6m) scored the late winner – her second goal of the league phase – to take her Fantasy tally to 20 points.
FORWARDS
Leading scorer Alba Redondo (€5.6m) has three goals in two games and is top of the forwards on 19 points having found the net twice against Roma and once against Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid. Wolfsburg's Alexandra Popp (€8.6m) is one place behind on 16 points, having scored, provided an assist and been Player of the Match against Paris Saint-Germain.
Melchie Dumornay (€6.1m) hit two goals against holders Arsenal to contribute to her 15 points, one more than Pernille Harder (€6.5m); Clàudia Pina (€8.5m) on 13 points and Alessia Russo (€10.5m) on 12 points also rank highly.
