Women's Champions League Fantasy Football: Tips for Matchday 3

Matchday 3 is approaching in the first-ever UEFA Women's Champions League Fantasy Football game, presented by Amazon. UEFA.com provides some tips for managers lining up their teams ahead of the next round of fixtures.

Update your Fantasy team

Who are the current highest scorers?

Barcelona's Alexia Putellas (€10.1m) and Esmee Brugts (€6.1m) top the Fantasy rankings with 23 points each, having both scored twice and provided two assists in their first two fixtures.

Atleti's Fiamma (€6.1m) is one point behind on 22, having also found the net twice, while Manchester United's Maya Le Tissier (€5.6m) and Juventus Cecilia Salvai (€4.6m) are the top-scoring defenders on 21 points.

Wildcard and Limitless chips

If your squad needs a refresh to help you climb the leaderboard, now might be a good chance to consider using one of the two chips Fantasy managers start with, which can each be used only once.

The Limitless chip lets you pick your dream squad, with no budget restrictions, for one matchday only, then the squad returns to how it was before the chip was played for the next matchday.

The Wildcard chip provides the chance to make unlimited transfers ahead of the next matchday, and any players transferred in will stay in your squad for good. Unlike the Limitless chip, budget restrictions apply.

Find out how to activate chips and recap on all the rules here.

Popular picks

If you're considering making transfers ahead of Matchday 3, these players are currently the most popular with Fantasy managers.

Three-time Ballon d'Or winner Aitana Bonmatí (€10.5m) tops the popularity rankings by appearing in 62% of squads and has collected nine points.

The Barcelona midfielder is closely followed by Arsenal forward Alessia Russo (€10.5m), chosen by 60% of managers and on 12 points; the Women's EURO 2025-winning striker finished joint-second top scorer in the Women's Champions League last season and has found the net in both of the Gunners' fixtures so far.

Russo's fellow Lioness Hannah Hampton (€6.0m) is the most-picked goalkeeper, appearing in almost half (48%) of squads, with a points total of six from Chelsea's 4-0 win against Paris FC on Matchday 2.

Her Blues team-mate Ellie Carpenter (€5.0m) and Bayern's Giulia Gwinn (€5.0m) are tied as the most popular defenders, each selected by 32%, with ball recoveries contributing to both of their tallies.
