Draw system
A draw between the same number of seeded and unseeded clubs determined the ties. Clubs were seeded for these draws in accordance with the club coefficient rankings established at the beginning of the season and with the principles set by the Women's Football Committee. If, for any reason, any of the participants in the round in question are not known at the time of the draw, the following provisions applied:
A draw was conducted to determine the pairings for each tie and which team plays the first leg at home.
Draw conditions
Prohibited team clashes
Based on the UEFA Executive Committee decisions valid at the time of the draw, clubs from the following associations could not be drawn against each other:
• Ukraine / Belarus
Country clashes
Clubs from the same association could not be drawn against each other.
Draw procedure
Three bowls were prepared for the draw: one containing the seeded clubs, one containing the unseeded clubs, and one central empty bowl.
One ball was taken from each of the seeded and unseeded bowls and placed in the third empty bowl, where they were shuffled. The first club drawn will play its first match at home against the second club drawn.
The same procedure was carried out with the remaining balls to complete all the second qualifying round pairings.
If a draw condition applied, the club drawn would automatically be transferred to be the away club of the next tie and another club drawn from the same bowl into the free position of the current tie ensuring each tie was composed of one seeded and one unseeded club. Similarly, when completing the next tie, the home club would be drawn from the relevant bowl in order to respect the seeding principles. Should a clash have been possible when drawing the last two ties, the clubs would be drawn and assigned to the ties.
