😎 Our travel page has plenty of helpful info about getting around the city. Check back soon for all the details on how to get to the stadium, but public transport will definitely be the most convenient, fastest and most sustainable option.

🙌 Good to know: If you have a match ticket, you’re entitled to a 36 Hour Travel Pass at no additional cost for the entire VRR (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr) and VRS (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg) network, valid from 06:00 on matchday until 18:00 the following day.

🚗 Stadium parking

Public parking at Düsseldorf Arena is now available to pre-book for €24 per match on a first come, first served basis.

Just keep in mind that driving to the stadium is generally not recommended and we strongly encourage the use of public transport on matchday. If you do drive, share a car with friends and family to make the most of this option and ensure you arrive together.

  • Pre-booking your spot is mandatory and no parking passes will be available to purchase on matchday. Cars without a parking pass will be turned away.
  • Please note parking spaces may not be fully accessible. Dedicated accessible parking has been made available to Wheelchair and Easy Access ticket holders.
  • If you’re travelling with a camper or motorhome, book a spot at the dedicated Caravan Center at Arena Düsseldorf.

EURO 2024 climate fund

€5 from each booking will be donated to the EURO 2024 climate fund supporting climate protection projects.

⚠️ City centre traffic will be extremely busy and it may take you much longer than expected to drive to the stadium. Set off with plenty of time to spare.

Düsseldorf parking FAQs🚌 Stadium parking for coaches

Düsseldorf Arena has limited parking for coaches or mini buses, which can be booked by fans or by travel agencies. Coach parking passes are free but must be requested in advance via the dedicated online portal. Requests can be submitted until one day before the match.

Don’t drive to the stadium without a coach parking pass as no passes will be available to purchase on the day of your match.

  • Your coach parking pass will show your dedicated parking location.
  • Please print your pass and be ready to present it to staff onsite.

🔨 Düsseldorf Arena was built between 2002 and 2004 on the site of the old Rheinstadion, a ground that staged games at the 1974 FIFA World Cup and 1988 UEFA European Championship.

🏈 American football games, concerts and boxing matches have also been held at the Düsseldorf Arena, including the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 following Germany’s victory at the 2010 edition with the song Satellite by Lena.

🚨 Stadium rules

Even if you are a regular visitor to Düsseldorf Arena, keep in mind that the stadium may operate differently for EURO 2024 and rules may be different from what you are used to.

🎒 Bags larger than A4 size won’t be allowed into the stadium.
🔋 You can bring a small power bank, no larger than your phone.
🪪 Make sure you have a valid form of ID on you.
🙅 Remember that professional cameras and cane umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium. However, you can bring a small, fully collapsible umbrella.
🚭 All EURO 2024 stadiums are smoke-free venues. Therefore smoking, e-cigarettes and heat-not-burn tobacco products are not allowed. Please be considerate of other fans.

Stadium entry ✅

Is there a minimum age to attend the match?

There is no minimum age to attend the match, but everyone must hold a valid match ticket in order to enter the stadium, regardless of their age.

Do underage ticket holders need to be accompanied by an adult?

Yes, ticket holders under the age of 16 can only enter the stadium with an accompanying adult. The accompanying adult MUST have a valid match ticket.

How early should I get to the stadium before the match?

We recommend getting to the stadium when gates open, 3 hours before kick-off.

What props am I allowed to bring inside?

You can bring flagpoles that are a maximum of 1m long and 1cm in diameter and banners or flags that are a maximum of 2m x 1.5m.

Are there gender-neutral entrances to the stadium?

Yes, the stadium will provide gender-neutral lanes at all entrances, where aspects like body checks before entering the stadium are performed without connection to binary limitations of gender identification or expression. Inside the stadiums, gender-neutral toilets will be available. All of this is a part in the fact that the EURO 2024 embraces gender identities and expressions as a spectrum that is not limited to a binary concept.

Is there anything to do at the stadium for non-ticket holders?

No. If you don’t have a ticket, don’t travel to the stadium. You’re better off heading to one of the Fan Zones (Schauspielhaus, Burgplatz) or the Public Viewing of the match at Rheinufer.

What if I have a problem/emergency at the stadium?

In case of an emergency, reach out to the nearest steward, first responder or volunteer for immediate assistance.

A number of support services and response mechanisms will be in place at EURO 2024 to ensure all fans can enjoy their time at the stadium.

  • If you observe or experience any cases of discriminatory behaviour or human rights violations, our team of stewards, first responders, volunteers and specialised staff will be trained to provide you with support.
  • Each stadium will have a dedicated safe room.
  • An online EURO 2024 reporting tool will be available for fans to address any form of discrimination.

Stadium parking 🅿️

Can I drive to the stadium even if I haven’t pre-booked a parking pass?

No. Parking on matchday is strictly for ticket holders with a valid parking pass. Passes will not be sold at the stadium.

Who can help me if I have a question about the car parks, payment or parking pass delivery?

Parking passes are sold and managed by the respective parking operator. For any assistance, check out their detailed FAQs or reach out directly to the operator’s customer service team.

How far away are the parking areas from the stadium?

All parking areas are close to the stadium and within walking distance of the entrances (10 minutes maximum). Maps will be provided closer to the tournament with more detailed information.

When does the parking area open and close on a matchday?

The parking areas open 5 hours before kick-off and close approximately 1.5 - 2 hours after the match. Stadium gates for all EURO 2024 matches open 3 hours before kick-off.

Can I give my parking pass to someone else or can I get a refund?

Parking passes are non-refundable and the transfer or resale of passes is not permitted. But you don’t necessarily have to come with your own car. You can also ride with someone else and provide them with your parking pass, as long as you’re with them.
