ŠKM Púchov became the only side to beat Slovakian Super League leaders ŠK Slovan Bratislava twice this season as they repeated their July 2-1 home win.

Breska on hand
Mário Breska was Púchov's key man and opened the scoring on 16 minutes. Slovan equalised just before half-time as Róbert Vittek converted a penalty to take his season's goal tally to 13. But Breska was on hand to set up Lubos Pernis to wrap up the game for Púchov 22 minutes from the end.

Gap closes
Champions MŠK Zilina narrowed the gap at the top to eight points as they found form in a 5-1 win at TFK Laugaricio Trencín. Marek Mintál opened the scoring in the first minute for Zilina, and although Dusan Miklas equalised quickly, Branislav Labant made it 2-1 on ten minutes. Martin Fabus, facing his old club for the first time, scored twice after the break, with Mintál also adding his second.

Vácha in form

Bottom club beaten
FK ZTS Dubnica moved up to sixth as they beat bottom club 1. FC Košice. Czech player Martin Svestka scored his first goal in Slovakian football to put more pressure on Kosice coach Ondrej Danko, whose side have just a single point from their last eleven games.

Jelsic goal
AŠK Inter Bratislava's recent disappointing form continued as MŠK Ruzomberok moved above them into seventh place with a 1-0 win, forward Jozef Jelsic scoring his first top-flight goal for three years following his recent transfer from second-level side FC Nitra.
