Thigh problem
The 39-year-old damaged his thigh in a collision with VfL Bochum 1848 striker Vahid Hashemian during Saturday's league match between the sides. Following tests, the club have confirmed that he will be out for between six and eight weeks. "Claus wants to be back in six weeks, but we'll have to wait to see how the injury heals. We will miss him for sure," coach Jürgen Röber said.
Upward mobility
Sead Ramovic will stand in for Reitmaier. The 24-year-old arrived from SV Stuttgarter Kickers in 2001 but has made only two substitute appearances in the 1. Bundesliga. Wolfsburg's 2-0 victory against Bochum lifted them to eighth place in the table.
