Neziri swaps Metalurh for Shakhtar

FC Shakhtar Donetsk have signed Bojan Neziri from local Ukrainian Premier League rivals FC Metalurh Donetsk.

Versatile performer
Neziri, 21, had only joined Metalurh in June on a four-year contract from FK Vojvodina. The left-footed defender is a versatile performer who can play on the wing or through the middle. In all, he played 59 matches over three seasons in his national championship, starting his career with FK Vojadin Boskov.

In return
As part of the deal between two of Ukraine's top clubs, Shakhtar players Artem Savin and Ruslan Leviga have moved in the opposite direction on six-month loans. Savin is a 22-year-old defender while Leviga is a 20-year-old forward.

European dates
It is a busy time for Shakhtar who are preparing for a UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie against FC Lokomotiv Moskva. The first leg is at home on Wednesday with the return in the Russian capital two weeks later. Metalurh are in the UEFA Cup and will join the competition in the first round.
