Real Madrid CF have completed the signing of FC Porto right-back Danilo, who will join the European champions this summer on a six-year contract for a fee of €31.5m.

The Brazilian international, 23, has won two Liga titles since arriving in Portugal from Santos FC in 2011. A defender who can play in midfield, Danilo has been central to Julen Lopetegui's side's UEFA Champions League success this season, scoring once in seven appearances to help the Dragons through to the quarter-finals.

FC Bayern München await them in a fortnight and, if they succeed over two legs and Real Madrid overcome Club Atlético de Madrid in their last-eight tie, Danilo could meet his future employers in the semi-finals. He has earned 13 caps for his country so far.
