After FC København revived their UEFA Champions League campaign with a 1-0 defeat of Galatasaray AŞ, goalscorer Daniel Braaten said they proved their quality.

Tuesday's win in Copenhagen moved them level on points with second-placed Galatasaray in Group B, one above Juventus, whom FCK visit on 27 November. Braaten and Thomas Delaney pointed to the Danes' superb European home record while Didier Drogba told UEFA.com that missed chances by the visitors were key.

This victory means we are back in the group. It's important to pick up points at home and best of all to win. It has a big impact, whether you play home or away in Champions League. We didn't play well in Istanbul [losing 3-1] and we had some soft goals against us. Galatasaray are a good team, but here in Copenhagen we have to be at our best and play good football.

We had some big chances in the first half and should have increased the lead, especially me. I should have played in Nicolai Jørgensen when we were alone with the keeper. But the main thing is that we ultimately took all three points.

When the stadium is full and you have thousands of people standing behind you, you lift yourself to another level. Every match is a chance to show what you are capable of. Today we played good football for almost an hour, but then we died a little bit. But the difference between the two teams wasn't easy to see.

Overall we played quicker, moved ourselves around the pitch and played with confidence. We kept the ball and created chances. We know we are a great team and if we manage to play well at home, we will hurt our opponents. The group is open – if we can just play well away to Juventus and then win the last one at home to Real Madrid, then things look great!

Thomas Delaney, København midfielder
It's fantastic. We have a good record at Parken. Before today's match we were unbeaten here in the Champions League group stage and we kept that record going. It was an ambition of ours. We said that if we wanted to stay alive in the group, we had to win. We knew it would be difficult but we believed in ourselves. And we succeeded.

We played very well in the first half as we have done before. Against Juventus we played very well in the first half. Today we managed to close down Galatasaray, not only in the first half but also in the second. Maybe we should have been leading 2-0 at half-time.

This was perhaps our best first half for a long time. We were in control and created a lot of chances. We had a lot of the play.

In the break we had a good feeling. We felt we were in control. It's true the second half was a bit more difficult for us, but we closed them down. I don't remember a single big chance for Galatasaray. They had more possession in the second half, we didn't keep the ball as much, but in the last 15 minutes we started to retain possession again and I think that was crucial. But yes, in the second half, it was more hard work than technical play.

Didier Drogba, Galatasaray forward
It's a difficult result because we created so many chances and were unlucky that we didn't score. But København played well too. They tried their luck and scored a goal, and after that they defended well.

I think it is typical football. You win one game, but if you don't focus you then lose. You have to know that they will play better next time. So I think we should be more prepared for these kind of games. Well, we were prepared, but maybe we could have done a little bit more to get a better result.

I think the group is open. It is still really open and we are going to have some good games. In fact, I reckon we are going to see a lot of good games in the two last rounds. I hope we are going to go through.
