Meet the teams

Key player: Samuel Adeniran

It was American striker Adeniran’s goals which made all the difference in LASK’s extraordinary play-off comeback against Celtic, with two stunning efforts from outside the box helping seal a 5-1 victory in the second leg to overturn a 3-0 aggregate deficit from the first leg. With ten goals and five assists in the Austrian Bundesliga last season, he also played a huge part in his side’s title-winning campaign.

Big summer signing: Robert Ljubičić

Also a goalscorer in that win over Celtic, Vienna-born midfielder Ljubičić has joined LASK on loan from AEK Athens. He has immediately slotted in after being given the No10 shirt and is expected to play a key role this season.
