Nancy struck by Malonga misery

AS Nancy-Lorraine striker Chris Malonga faces up to a month on the sidelines with a thigh problem and is set to miss the beginning of his club's UEFA Cup campaign.

The 21-year-old was substituted during the first half of Nancy's 2-1 defeat away to OGC Nice on Saturday and is facing four weeks on the sidelines after tests revealed a muscle tear. Pablo Correa's team finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season and are due to begin their UEFA Cup campaign in the first round on 18 September, with the draw taking place in Monaco on 29 August.
