All nine Women's Champions League fixtures kick off simultaneously as the league phase reaches its conclusion in the first-ever edition of Women's Champions League Fantasy Football, presented by Amazon. UEFA looks at which players could potentially boost managers' totals on Matchday 6.
Who were the best Fantasy performers on Matchday 5?
Melchie Dumornay (€6.2m)
Last season's Women's Champions League Young Player of the Season shone again by scoring a second-half double for OL Lyonnes, wrapping up a 3-0 victory at Manchester United and adding 15 points to her individual Fantasy tally.
Paulina Krumbiegel (€6.3m)
A Player of the Match performance for Juventus in their 5-0 win against St. Pölten helped to deliver the second-highest Fantasy total of any player on Matchday 5, Krumbiegel's score of 14 including a goal, 11 ball recoveries and a clean sheet.
Cristiana Girelli (€7.3m)
Another Juventus player to score highly, Krumbiegel's team-mate Girelli gained 13 points by scoring twice and providing an assist in the away victory.
María Méndez (€5.0m)
A goal, clean sheet and four ball recoveries in Real Madrid's 2-0 success against Wolfsburg boosted the defender's Fantasy score by 13 points.
Millie Bright (€5.0m)
The centre-back led from the back in Chelsea's 6-0 defeat of Roma, a clean sheet and 12 ball recoveries helping Bright collect 13 Fantasy points.
Lucy Bronze (€5.4m)
Bright's fellow Chelsea defender also scored 13 Fantasy points, Bronze's own clean sheet supplemented by a goal – although the full-back is a doubt for Matchday 6 having gone off in the Women's Super League on Sunday.
Key players to look out for on Matchday 6
Beth Mead (€9.0m)
The English winger's early goal was enough to secure three points for Arsenal in the last round of fixtures and, with two goals and three assists this season, Mead provides a strong option with an overall Fantasy tally of 29 points.
Pernille Harder (€6.8m)
The Danish forward became the competition's joint-top scorer with two goals in Bayern München's 2-2 draw with Atleti on Matchday 5; her side face Vålerenga with an automatic quarter-final spot in their sights and Harder on 33 Fantasy points.
Kim Everaerts (€4.5m)
OH Leuven are one of three teams competing for the final two knockout phase spots and Everaerts' strong defensive display against Paris Saint-Germain helped secure an important point for the Belgian side — and nine Fantasy points — on Matchday 5. Her team face defending champions Arsenal on Matchday 6 aiming to pull off a result that would extend their first season in Europe.
Stine Brekken (€7.0m)
Vålerenga, playing away to Bayern, also have everything to play for with a knockout phase play-off spot still a possibility. If they are searching for a moment of magic then Brekken, who scored a stunning individual goal in the Norwegian side's first-ever victory at this stage on Matchday 3, is among their leading Fantasy points scorers and is the sort of player who could deliver it.
Alexia Putellas (€10.2m)
The Spanish midfielder scored and laid on an assist on Matchday 5 to ensure her Barcelona side enter Matchday 6 top of the league phase table. The 31-year-old remains the most-picked Fantasy player, 66% of managers including her in their squads, and has rewarded them by scoring the third-most points overall with 42, behind only Fiamma (€6.4m) on 50 points and Klara Bühl (€8.7m) on 46.
Matchday 6 deadline tip
With all nine matches kicking off at the same time, the deadline for transfers and substitutions is 21:00 CET on Wednesday 17 December.
By waiting until all the line-ups are announced around an hour before kick-off to finalise Fantasy team selections, managers will know who is starting before making decisions.
Using chips and knockout phase rules
Ahead of the knockout phase play-offs, Fantasy managers get unlimited free transfers, so you don't need to worry about planning ahead for that stage.
If you haven't yet used your Limitless or Wildcard chips, now might be the time to utilise one of them to maximise your final league phase total.
Limitless unlocks unlimited transfers with no budget restrictions for one matchday only – although bear in mind only 11 of your squad will feature on Matchday 6, so the Wildcard, which enables any number of transfers within budget and the additions stay in your squad after the matchday, might be a better option this time.
Managers get unlimited free transfers again ahead of the quarter-finals, so you can refresh your squad after the knockout phase play-offs for the remaining knockout rounds.
