Club Brugge KV lost their 100 per cent record in the Belgian first division as R. Antwerp FC held the leaders 2-2.

Leleu levels
With RSC Anderlecht having moved to within two points of Brugge with their Friday night victory against R. Charleroi SC, Antwerp delivered a further blow by taking the lead on nine minutes through Abdulrahman Hussain. Rune Lange headed an equaliser ten minutes later, but although Brugge were ahead early in the second half with a goal from Philippe Clement, Stefan Leleu quickly put home side Antwerp back on level terms. Brugge had Peter Van der Heyden sent off for a second yellow card in the last minute.

Baseggio double
Midfield player Walter Baseggio was Anderlecht's hero as he scored twice in their 3-1 at Charleroi. Baseggio's free-kick on 12 minutes supplied the opener for Ki-Hyeon Seol, and nine minutes later the Belgian international shot directly in from another free-kick. Grégory Dufer pulled one back 12 minutes from time with a penalty, but Baseggio restored the two-goal cushion with his second on the game.

Vandooren scores at both ends
Last-placed R. Standard de Liège are still waiting for their first win of the season after being denied a home win against K. Sint Truidense VV by Gonzague Vandooren's late own-goal. Bram Vangeel put Sint Truidense ahead after 18 minutes, but Vandooren levelled just before the break. Sven Soderstrom then seemed to have given Standard victory with his long-range effort, before Vandooren diverted a cross past his own goalkeeper seven minutes from time.

Genk on form
KRC Genk were back on form after their 6-0 UEFA Champions League defeat at Real Madrid CF, beating RAA Louviéroise 1-0 with Wesley Sonck's goal 14 minutes from the end and K. Lierse SK secured an impressive 3-1 win at KAA Gent. Also on Saturday, R. Excelsior Mouscron beat R. AEC Mons 3-2, KVC Westerlo overcame KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen 2-1, while strugglers KSK Beveren and KFC Lommelse SK drew 0-0.

Five-goal thriller
In Sunday's match, Sporting Lokeren St-Niklaas Waasland moved to within three points of Brugge after a dramatic 3-2 win against KV Mechelen. Lokeren's Ibrahim Conte was sent-off five minutes from half time, but his side were ahead before the break through Sambegou Bangoura. Steven Ribus levelled ten minutes into the second half, only for Bangoura to score again soon after. Mechelen were also down to ten men with seven minutes left when defender Sammy Greven was dismissed, and Lokoren sealed the game with a Runar Kristinsson goal, although Tosin Sosumnu halved the home side's deficit in added time.
