Grasshopper-Club maintained their four-point lead at the top of the Swiss First Division after a 3-1 victory at FC Wil 1900 on Saturday.

Nuñez double
Richard Nuñez fired the Zurich side into a 19th-minute lead and Ribeiro Eduardo doubled that advantage just after the hour. De Sousa Fabinho pulled one back after 71 minutes but Wil were reduced to ten men when Thomas Balmer received his marching orders and Nuñez settled Grasshoppers' nerves by completing the scoring a minute from time.

Haas opener
Second-placed FC Basel built on their recent 4-1 victory against Wil by claiming a 2-0 home win against Servette FC. On-loan Bernt Haas opened the scoring in the 26th minute and Murat Yakin wrapped up the points with a 67th-minute penalty.

Sermeter seals it
On Sunday, BSC Young Boys recorded a 1-0 victory against FC Thun thanks to a goal from Gürkan Sermeter in the 84th minute while FC Zürich and Neuchatel Xamax FC played out a 1-1 draw.
