🆓 Free matchday travel in Budapest for ticket holders
Ticket holders can take advantage of free travel on the following lines on matchday:
- Metro lines 1, 2, 3, 4
- Tram line 1
- Champions Express: Special bus service between airport and city
- 200E regular bus service between airport and city
Please be prepared to present your match ticket to public transport staff upon request. Free travel applies during the operational hours of each service on Saturday 30 May.

🗺️ Getting to Budapest
Citizens of EU or Schengen member states can enter Hungary with a passport or national identity card.
Nationals from other countries must enter Hungary with a passport and should check the full entry requirements before travelling.
Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport [BUD] is Hungary’s major international airport, located 25km southeast of the city centre.
Getting to the city centre
Option 1️⃣
🚍 Hop on the Champions Express bus service between the airport and Népliget, running from 08:00. From here, use the following connections:
For the stadium 🏟️
➡️ Tram 1 to Puskás Ferenc Stadion
For the Champions Festival in Heroes’ Square 🎉
➡️ M3 to Deák Ferenc tér, then change to M1 to Heroes’ Square
For iconic city landmarks 🌉
➡️ M3 to Deák Ferenc tér
Option 2️⃣
🚏 Alternatively, take the 200E bus service to Kőbánya-Kispest, then transfer to the M3 for city centre locations. On non-matchdays, valid BKK tickets or travel cards must be purchased.
Option 3️⃣
🚏 A direct bus service – 100E – operates between the airport and the city centre. Passengers must purchase a specific ticket to use this service. This will not be free on matchday.
Alternative airports to consider are:
• Vienna International Airport, Austria [VIE]
• Bratislava Airport, Slovakia [BTS]
• Košice International Airport, Slovakia [KSC]
The two main train stations are:

Long-distance bus services, both domestic and international, are most likely to arrive at Népliget Bus Station or Kelenföld Bus Terminal.
Travelling by car to Budapest on matchday is not recommended due to high traffic and limited city centre parking. If you must drive, please be aware there will be traffic restrictions around the stadium and consider using Park + Ride facilities.

The best way to get around Budapest is on foot! 🏟️ Getting to the stadium
🔔 Stadium gates open at 15:00 local time for an 18:00 kick-off. Additional security and ticket checks will be in place around the stadium.
🚶 Walking is a great option for travelling to the stadium.
- 30 minutes from the Champions Festival in Heroes’ Square. 🎉
- 60 minutes from the city centre and iconic landmarks. 🌉
🚇 The nearest public transport stations to the stadium are:
- Keleti – M2, M4
- Puskás Ferenc Stadion – M2, Tram 1
⛔ It is not advised to travel to the stadium in a taxi or private vehicle on matchday. There will be considerable traffic restrictions in place in the vicinity of the stadium and no private parking will be available.
If you must drive, use one of the designated park + ride facilities and complete the remainder of the journey to the stadium on foot or by public transport.

👋 Post match
If the match concludes during normal time, the post-match trophy ceremony and accompanying celebrations should finish by 20:30. If the match goes to extra time or penalties, expect the action on the pitch to continue until around 21:15. Football is unpredictable and things can change. Please consider these times as estimates.
